Vintage2016
Le Clarence de Haut-Brion is the second wine of Château Haut-Brion, one of Bordeaux's five First Growths and the only one located within the Pessac-Léognan appellation on the Left Bank's Graves gravel soils. Formerly known as Château Bahans Haut-Brion, the wine was renamed in 2007 in tribute to Clarence Dillon, who acquired Haut-Brion in 1935. The blend brings together Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, in a more approachable, earlier-drinking style than the grand vin. The 2016 vintage adds ripeness and structure to this bottling. Expect dark fruit, tobacco, and graphite notes with a polished, structured finish. Pair with roast beef, lamb, or duck.
