Vintage2022
Chassagne-Montrachet is best known for its white wines, but the village also produces red Pinot Noir from its cooler, more easterly-facing parcels, and this bottling comes from Domaine Jean-Claude Ramonet, the estate founded by Pierre Ramonet in the late 1920s and now run by his grandson Jean-Claude. Made from 100% Pinot Noir, the wine reflects the domaine's philosophy of old vines, strict low yields and minimal use of sulphites and new oak. Expect the 2022 vintage to show red and dark cherry fruit, earthy, savoury undertones and firm, well-integrated tannins. Pair with roast duck, veal or mushroom-based dishes.
