Vintage2017
This Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru, offered here in a large-format magnum, is produced by Domaine Michèle et Patrice Rion, based in Premeaux-Prissey in the Côte de Nuits and founded by Patrice and Michèle Rion in 1990. Clos de Vougeot is one of Burgundy's largest and most historic walled Grand Cru vineyards, farmed here by a domaine known for pure, harmonious Pinot Noir and an innovative approach to viticulture. The 2017 vintage in Burgundy was generous and relatively abundant, generally producing ripe, well-balanced wines. Expect dark cherry, rose and earthy spice, with structured tannins softened by several years of bottle age, and the magnum format's typically slower, more graceful evolution. Pair with roast beef, game or a strong aged cheese.
