Mazis-Chambertin is one of the nine grand cru climats of Gevrey-Chambertin, in the Côte de Nuits. Domaine Tortochot farms a parcel here as part of a family estate that has worked the village across four generations and has been run since 1997 by Chantal Michel-Tortochot, who took over from her father Gabriel. The wine is Pinot Noir, with dark cherry, violet and spice aromas, firm fine-grained tannins and a mineral finish. Pair with roast venison, braised beef or an aged hard cheese.
