This village Chassagne-Montrachet rouge from Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard is a Pinot Noir bottled at 13% alcohol. Chassagne-Montrachet is better known outside France for its white wine, but red has long been made in the commune. The wine shows red cherry and berry fruit with a savoury, mineral-tinged finish. The estate is run by Céline Fontaine, who joined in 2007, with Frédéric Robert since 2018; it was founded in 1985 by her parents Laurence Gagnard and Richard Fontaine. Serve with roast game birds, charcuterie or a mushroom tart. Select your preferred vintage above.
