Clos Saint-Jean is a premier cru climat in the northern half of Chassagne-Montrachet, on the slope above the village. This bottling from Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard is Chardonnay alone, at 13.5% alcohol, made on the twelve-hectare family estate run by Céline Fontaine since 2007, with Frédéric Robert since 2018. The domaine was founded in 1985 by her parents Laurence Gagnard and Richard Fontaine and holds three grands crus and a range of Chassagne premiers crus. The wine is deep and firmly structured, and holds well in bottle. Serve with roast turbot, poultry in cream sauce or aged hard cheeses. Select your preferred vintage above.
