Vintage2019
La Bossière is a monopole premier cru of Domaine Harmand-Geoffroy, meaning the family estate is the sole owner of this Gevrey-Chambertin climat in the Côte de Nuits. Farmed by father and son Gérard and Philippe Harmand on limestone-clay soils, the 2019 vintage is made entirely from Pinot Noir, fermented with native yeasts in open-top wooden vats and aged in oak for 16 to 18 months. Expect a concentrated, structured red with dark cherry, blackcurrant and earthy spice notes, firm tannin and real ageing potential, typical of the estate's traditional, minimal-intervention style. It suits braised beef, game or a mature Burgundian cheese. The domaine's wines are unfined and barely filtered.
