Vintage
Clos de Vougeot is one of Burgundy's largest and oldest Grand Cru vineyards, a 50-hectare walled clos divided among more than 80 owners. This bottling comes from Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat, established in 1962 by Alain Hudelot and now run from Chambolle-Musigny by his grandson Charles van Canneyt; the domaine's parcel lies inside the walls, a few steps from its cellar door. Made entirely from Pinot Noir with indigenous-yeast fermentation and about eighteen months in barrel, up to 50% of it new at Grand Cru level. The 2022 Burgundy vintage was warm and generally produced structured, ripe wines. Expect dark cherry, spice and a firm frame. Pair with roast beef, game, or mature hard cheeses.
