La Boudriotte is one of Chassagne-Montrachet's better-known premier cru vineyards, more often associated with the appellation's celebrated whites, but also capable of structured, characterful red Pinot Noir, as shown by this 2019 bottling from Domaine Lamy-Pillot. Based in the Hameau de Morgeot since René Lamy and Thérèse Pillot founded the estate in 1973, the domaine is one of a select group of proprietors with a parcel of Le Montrachet Grand Cru itself, underlining its pedigree in this village. At 13.5% alcohol, this red shows dark cherry and plum fruit, savory earthiness and firm tannin typical of Côte de Beaune reds from limestone-rich soils. Pair with roast lamb, duck or a mature cheese. A distinctive red from a producer more typically celebrated for its whites.
