Vintage2020
Domaine Pierre Morey's Volnay 1er Cru Santenots, 2020 vintage, is a Pinot Noir red Burgundy from a premier cru vineyard technically located in Meursault but classified under the Volnay appellation, known for producing more structured, powerful reds than typical Volnay. Pierre Morey, known primarily for his white Burgundies and his tenure as régisseur at Domaine Leflaive, tends this red parcel alongside his daughter Anne, who now helps run the family estate. Santenots shows dark red fruit, spice, and firmer tannins than a classic, more delicate Volnay, reflecting its unique clay-rich soil. Pair with duck breast, roast lamb, or mushroom-based dishes. A distinctive red Burgundy from a producer best known for Meursault.
