Vintage
This Trousseau, aged in amphora (a clay vessel), is a red wine from the Arbois range of Domaine André et Mireille Tissot, made by Bénédicte and Stéphane Tissot at Montigny-lès-Arsures, a commune within the Arbois appellation in the Jura. Trousseau is one of the Jura's indigenous red grapes, giving pale-coloured, aromatic wines with notes of red cherry, pepper and forest floor; amphora ageing adds texture and a mineral, slightly earthy dimension without imparting oak flavour. The vineyards have been certified organic since 1999 and certified biodynamic by Demeter since 2004. Serve slightly cool with charcuterie, duck, or mushroom-based dishes.
