Chassagne-Montrachet
Chassagne-Montrachet sits at the southern end of the Côte de Beaune and shares two of Burgundy's greatest white Grands Crus — Montrachet and Bâtard-Montrachet — with neighbouring Puligny. Its village and Premier Cru Chardonnay tends to be fuller and more overtly fruited than Puligny, with a firm mineral spine.
The village also makes a meaningful amount of Pinot Noir, historically its main production, and reds appear here alongside the whites. Domaines represented include Bachelet-Ramonet, Bruno Colin, Marc Colin, Philippe Colin and Bachey-Legros.
