Domaine Philippe Colin's village Chassagne-Montrachet Blanc is made entirely from Chardonnay, from vines in the Côte de Beaune. The domaine was created in 2004, when the vineyards of Domaine Michel Colin-Deléger were divided between Philippe Colin and his brother Bruno. The whites are fermented in stainless steel and aged twelve to fifteen months in French oak, with 20 to 25 percent new wood. Expect white flowers, ripe pear and citrus zest over a mineral, faintly saline finish. This is a versatile white Burgundy suited to richer fish dishes, roast chicken with cream sauce, or mature Comté. Select your preferred vintage above.
