La Romanée is a premier cru climat of Chassagne-Montrachet, and not the Vosne-Romanée grand cru of the same name. This 2024 bottling from Domaine Bachelet-Ramonet is raised in oak barrel with bâtonnage, following the method used across the estate since Alain and Marie-Paule Bonnefoy took it on in 1984. It shows citrus, white peach and a saline, chalky finish at 13% alcohol. It goes with shellfish, sushi or a plain roast chicken.
