Vintage2020
Chevalier-Montrachet is a white grand cru of the Côte de Beaune, on the steep, thin-soiled slope immediately above Le Montrachet in the commune of Puligny-Montrachet. This bottling comes from Domaine Ballot-Millot, a Meursault estate run by Charles Ballot since 2000. Made from 100% Chardonnay, barrel-fermented and left on its full lees without bâtonnage. It shows ripe orchard fruit, honeysuckle and a flinty minerality with considerable length. Pair with lobster, roast turbot or poultry in a cream sauce. The 2020 vintage was warm, and the wine is generous.
