Corton-Charlemagne is the white grand cru of the Corton hill at Aloxe-Corton, an arc of chalky limestone facing south and west that Bouchard Père & Fils, one of Beaune's oldest wine houses, farmed for generations. This bottling is made entirely from Chardonnay. The hill's soils give white Burgundy of density and firm structure, with citrus and almond, distinct from the lighter whites of Puligny or Chassagne. At 13.5% alcohol the wine has the material to age for ten to twenty years, developing hazelnut, honey and brioche. Pair it with roast chicken in cream sauce, veal or a mature Comté. In October 2025 Artémis Domaines moved Bouchard's grand cru holdings on the Corton hill, together with some 35 hectares of the house's top parcels, into the newly created Domaine des Cabottes, which bottles under its own name from the 2023 vintage. The bottles offered here are older vintages, grown and made by Bouchard Père & Fils while the parcel was still theirs. Select your preferred vintage above.
