Vintage2020
Montrachet is a white grand cru of just under eight hectares straddling Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet, on limestone-rich soil, and Bouchard Père & Fils, whose Burgundy roots trace back to 1731, held a small parcel here. This 2020 is 100% Chardonnay. Wines from the climat are concentrated and firm, with the capacity to age for several decades while developing honey, hazelnut and dried citrus; this one carries 13.5% alcohol. Production is very small. It suits lobster, turbot or a dish with truffle. In October 2025 Artémis Domaines moved Bouchard's Montrachet parcel, together with some 35 hectares of the house's top holdings, into the newly created Domaine des Cabottes, which bottles it under its own name from the 2023 vintage. The bottles offered here are older vintages, grown and made by Bouchard Père & Fils while the parcel was still theirs.
