Vintage2020
Combe Bazin is a named vineyard site within the Saint-Romain appellation, a Côte de Beaune village tucked into the hills above Meursault and Auxey-Duresses, farmed by Domaine François Carillon alongside its more famous Puligny-Montrachet holdings. This 100% Chardonnay wine reflects the warm 2020 Burgundy vintage, generally producing ripe, generous whites with good underlying freshness. Expect notes of green apple, citrus and white flowers, with a bright, mineral finish shaped by Saint-Romain's cooler, higher-altitude terroir and François Carillon's restrained, low-oak winemaking style. Pair with grilled fish, goat cheese or a simple salad niçoise.
