Vintage2021
Champ Gain is a 1er Cru climat in Puligny-Montrachet, a Côte de Beaune village, farmed by Domaine François Carillon, whose family has grown vines here since the 16th century. François established his own domaine in 2010 after inheriting part of the historic Carillon family vineyards, and is known for a precise, restrained style using no more than 15% new oak even on top cuvées. This 100% Chardonnay wine comes from the cooler 2021 vintage, generally producing fresh, taut whites in Burgundy. Expect citrus, white flowers and flinty minerality, with a lean, saline finish. Pair with grilled fish, shellfish or a simple roast chicken.
