Vintage2021
Domaine Philippe Chavy's Meursault 1er Cru Les Charmes, 2021 vintage, is a Chardonnay white Burgundy from a premier cru vineyard of Meursault in the Côte de Beaune, known for producing rich yet refined wines. Philippe Chavy, a third-generation winegrower who has tended his family's Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault vines since 1990, inherited some of the domaine's oldest Meursault vines, dating to 1932, through his mother's side of the family. Les Charmes shows ripe orchard fruit, hazelnut, and a creamy, mineral-laced finish from the cooler 2021 growing season, which tends to favor freshness and precision. Pair with lobster, roast chicken in cream sauce, or aged Comté. A refined premier cru Meursault from a meticulous small-scale grower.
