Vintage2023
This Meursault Premier Cru Charmes comes from Domaine Henri Germain et Fils, founded in Meursault in 1973 by Henri Germain, whose first parcel was in fact planted in Charmes; the estate is now run by his son Jean-François with fifth-generation Lucie also involved. Made from 100% Chardonnay, Charmes typically gives riper, more generously textured Meursault than the village level, while the domaine's hand-farming, low yields, and minimal new oak keep the wine precise rather than heavy. Expect ripe orchard fruit, brioche, and a creamy, nutty richness balanced by fresh acidity and good length. Pair with lobster, veal in cream sauce, or roast poultry. The 2023 vintage brings freshness to this rich Premier Cru.
