Vintage2020
Les Genevrières is a premier cru vineyard of Meursault, and Domaine Jean-Michel Gaunoux-Hudelot, established in 1990 by Jean-Michel Gaunoux after working alongside his father François at the family estate, holds a parcel here alongside plots in Perrières and Les Gouttes d'Or. The Gaunoux-Hudelot name joins Jean-Michel's surname to the maiden name of Delphine Gaunoux, who co-manages the domaine, and the estate also bottles wines under the name Jean-Michel Gaunoux. Made from Chardonnay, as is standard for white Meursault, the 2020 vintage is vinified with around 15 to 30% new oak, following the domaine's traditional, sustainable approach that avoids pesticide use. Expect a rich, textured white with ripe orchard fruit, citrus, hazelnut and a gentle toasted oak note, balanced by good acidity and a long, mineral finish typical of Meursault's premier crus. It pairs well with roast chicken in cream sauce, lobster or a triple-cream cheese. A generous, well-structured Meursault 1er Cru.
