Vintage2021
Clos du Caillou's Côtes du Rhône Les Quartz, 2021 vintage, is a Grenache-based red from the estate's Southern Rhône vineyards near Courthézon, sharing its name and some of its quartz-flecked terroir with the producer's more prestigious Châteauneuf-du-Pape Les Quartz. Managed by Sylvie Pouzin since the mid-1990s, the domaine dates to 1895 and applies consistent, traditional winemaking across its regional and appellation-controlled wines. Expect ripe red and black fruit, garrigue spice, and a fuller body than typical Côtes du Rhône, with moderate tannins. Pair with roast lamb, grilled sausages, or a hearty vegetable stew. A generous, well-structured Côtes du Rhône from a Châteauneuf-du-Pape house.
