Vintage
Clos de Vougeot is one of the largest grands crus of Burgundy, a walled vineyard in the Côte de Nuits divided among many owners, Domaine Drouhin-Laroze among them. The estate was founded in Gevrey-Chambertin by Jean-Baptiste Laroze in 1850 and has carried its present name since Suzanne Laroze married Alexandre Drouhin in 1919; Nicolas and Caroline Drouhin run it today. Expect dark fruit, forest floor and spice with firm, ripe tannin. It goes with slow-cooked beef, game birds or an aged cow's-milk cheese. Select your preferred vintage above.
