This Chambolle-Musigny comes from Domaine Marchand-Grillot, a Gevrey-Chambertin estate formed when two growing families, the Marchands and the Grillots, were joined by marriage in 1950. Jacques Marchand heads the domaine, with Étienne Marchand making the wines since 2009 and Marion Marchand on the commercial side since 2015. Made from Pinot Noir, Chambolle-Musigny gives perfumed reds with floral aromatics and finer-grained tannins than its neighbours in the Côte de Nuits. The vines are farmed without synthetic herbicides or pesticides, a practice in place for more than twenty-five years. Expect red cherry, violet and spice with a lingering finish. Pair with roast duck, squab or a Comté dish. Select your preferred vintage above.
