Vintage2019
Domaine Prunier-Damy, a family estate in Auxey-Duresses whose vines date back to 1712 and is today run by 12th-generation winemaker Justine Prunier, extends its holdings into Pommard, one of the Côte de Beaune's most robust and structured red wine appellations. Trois Follots is a Pommard bottling made entirely from Pinot Noir, and the 2019 vintage brought concentrated, well-balanced fruit across Burgundy, giving this wine dark cherry and blackcurrant character with the firm, earthy tannins typical of Pommard's clay-rich soils. At 13% alcohol, it has the structure to develop further with a few years of cellaring, though it can also be enjoyed now with decanting. Pair it with braised beef, lamb shoulder or a rustic country pâté for a satisfying, traditionally made red Burgundy.
