Vintage2020
This Côtes du Jura Chardonnay En Levrette comes from Domaine des Marnes Blanches, the Sud-Revermont estate founded by Pauline and Géraud Fromont in 2006. En Levrette is a single named parcel vinified on its own, fermented with native yeasts and then raised in barrel. It is made ouillé, the barrel topped up rather than left to oxidise as for Vin Jaune, and shows orchard fruit, hazelnut and a saline finish drawn from the marl and limestone. The vines are worked by hand, the rows ploughed. Serve with roast chicken, Comté or a freshwater fish such as trout. Select your preferred vintage above.
