Vintage
Morgeot is the largest premier cru of Chassagne-Montrachet, on the deeper soils at the southern end of the commune, and it gives more weight than the domaine's climats higher up the slope. Bruno Colin ferments and raises it on fine lees in 350 litre barrels for twelve months, then three to six months in stainless steel before bottling. It shows ripe orchard fruit, a hazelnut and brioche note that develops with time, and a firm, mineral-laced finish. Serve with lobster, roast veal or firm cheeses.
