Vintage
This Chardonnay comes from Clos Saint-Abdon, an enclosed parcel within the Les Chaumées Premier Cru of Chassagne-Montrachet, vinified by Domaine Philippe Colin in the Côte de Beaune. The domaine was created in 2004, when the vineyards of Domaine Michel Colin-Deléger were divided between Philippe Colin and his brother Bruno. Expect notes of ripe pear, hazelnut and white blossom over a mineral, slightly saline base. The whites are fermented in stainless steel and aged twelve to fifteen months in French oak, with 20 to 25 percent new wood. Pair with lobster thermidor, veal in cream sauce, or a mature washed-rind cheese. Select your preferred vintage above.
