Vintage
This Santenay is produced by Domaine Simon Colin, based at Chassagne-Montrachet in the Côte de Beaune. Simon Colin is the son of Philippe Colin and the nephew of Bruno Colin; he started his own label in 2017, at first buying grapes, and took over 9.3 hectares of his father's vines from the 2021 vintage. He trained with his uncle Bruno Colin and was assistant winemaker at Domaine Étienne Sauzet in Puligny-Montrachet. About 3 of the estate's 9.3 hectares are planted to Pinot Noir. Expect red cherry and berry fruit with a savoury, mineral undertone typical of Santenay's clay and limestone soils. Ageing runs twelve to fifteen months, with a limited share of new oak. Serve with roast pork, coq au vin or a mild cheese board. Select your preferred vintage above.
