Vintage2024
This village Chassagne-Montrachet Blanc is Chardonnay grown around the family's home village in the Côte de Beaune. The 2024 is bottled at 13.5% alcohol. The estate has held vines here since 1919 and now farms around nine hectares across Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet and Saint-Aubin under Sabine Mollard. Farming is lutte raisonnée, with the soils ploughed through the year and the crop picked by hand; the wine spends about ten months on its lees in barrel with bâtonnage, then three to four months in vat, with new oak at a quarter. Expect ripe white fruit, hazelnut and citrus over a mineral backbone, the oak kept behind the fruit. Pair it with pan-seared scallops, creamy poultry dishes or a young Comté.
