Vintage2023
En Barberon is a parcel within the Côtes du Jura appellation farmed by Domaine André et Mireille Tissot, the estate run by Bénédicte and Stéphane Tissot at Montigny-lès-Arsures in the Jura. This Chardonnay is raised without the veil ageing used for the domaine's sous voile bottlings, and shows a riper, rounder style at 14% alcohol, with orchard fruit, citrus and a mineral, slightly nutty finish reflecting the parcel's soils. The 2023 is a fuller-bodied Jura Chardonnay suited to food pairing with Comté, roast chicken in cream sauce, or grilled fish. The vineyards have been certified organic since 1999 and certified biodynamic by Demeter since 2004.
