Bâtard-Montrachet is a white grand cru on limestone and clay soils shared between Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet. This bottling comes from Domaine Pernot-Belicard, the Puligny estate founded in 2009 by Philippe Pernot, of the village's Paul Pernot family. The Chardonnay is picked by hand, sorted and whole-cluster pressed before barrel ageing and further élevage on fine lees. Expect a broad, richly textured white with ripe orchard fruit, brioche and wet-stone minerality. The 2022 suits roasted lobster, turbot in beurre blanc or aged Comté.
