Every wine in our cellar with a bottle priced between €100 and €200: Burgundy premiers crus and grands crus, Côte-Rôtie, Champagne and Bordeaux.
This collection gathers every wine in our cellar with at least one bottle offered between €100 and €200, prices including French VAT. It updates itself as prices and vintages change; a wine offered in several vintages or formats appears here if one of them falls within the range.
In Burgundy, this is above all the level of the premiers crus of the leading villages: Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny, Vosne-Romanée, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Pommard and Volnay in red; Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet in white. It also includes a number of grands crus, among them Clos de Vougeot, Corton and Chablis Grand Cru, and some larger formats. Outside Burgundy: Côte-Rôtie and Châteauneuf-du-Pape, prestige and vintage Champagne, and Saint-Émilion and Pessac-Léognan.
At this level, the choice of climat and grower matters more than the village name. Compare two premiers crus of one village from the same grower, or one climat from two growers. For wines to keep, favour the Côte de Nuits, Pommard and the white premiers crus of Puligny and Chassagne; for wines to open sooner, Volnay and Chambolle.
Our cellar notes give 8 to 20 years for most red premiers crus at this level and 6 to 18 years for the whites, with the grands crus going further. Serve reds at 16 to 18 °C and whites at 12 to 14 °C. Store bottles lying down at a stable 12 to 14 °C.
